Fjord Retreat is based on a traditional Norwegian farm, established in the 1800s located in Indre Alsåker.

The farm has been in the family for many generations, each with their own twist to provide for their families like: raising animals, producing milk, growing fruit & vegetables, fishing and foresting firewood & Christmas trees.

Our generation established Fjord Retreat, to welcome guests to a safe and comfortable stay between the fjords and mountains, to enjoy nature and create a relaxing and memorable experience.

Our accommodations include a fjord-side cabin, a traditional 1800s farmhouse and two primitive mountain cabins - all with spectacular panoramic views over the fjords and mountains.

The farm is directly surrounded by the Hardanger-fjord, mountains and forest which allow for both relaxing & mindfulness as well as higher energy activities like fishing, swimming, canoe-paddling and walks along the fjord, on the mountain or in the forest.
